Bills? Never heard of them!: A Haul Post
It's that time of year again: it's too hot outside to really do anything comfortably and almost any little thing irks you and somehow there's a huge line for everything. Yes, it's Summertime, and with more hours at work I decided to treat myself this season since I have to put up with a lot this season (I'm only kidding, but this SoCal heat is no joke). Some of these items have been previewed on my Instagram story, but I wanted to share the majority of my haul here on the blog:
*Not sponsored, but still, it's just some really cute stuff*
And here we are:
Banana brooch from Luxulite
Phone brooch from Etsy (Elegant Giraffe Shop)
Glass cake server from TJ Maxx
Tragic Kingdom t-shirt from Hot Topic
1940's hat from Etsy (The Mad Hat Lady)
Kingdom of Cute Vinylmation from Disneyland (featuring artwork from Jerrod Maruyama)
1940's sunglasses from Pin Up in a Pack
Poison Apple mug from Disneyland
Spiderweb Earrite from The Pink Collar Life
Jewelry: For some reason I have been super obsessed with brooches lately, mostly because they are the perfect statement piece to finish off any vintage inspired outfit. So I purchased an oh-so-adorable retro banana brooch that I have had my eye on for a while from Luxulite (I'm trying to get a collection going because they are so stinkin' cute!) I also got a super teeny tiny retro phone brooch from Elegant Giraffe Shop on Etsy that I think I'll pair with future Autumn outfits. With my obsession with spiderwebs lately I also got a gold spiderweb earrite from The Pink Collar Life, which I'm still trying to get used to but will make many appearances this Fall.
Accessories: For accessories I got a 1940's black sequined hat from The Mad Hat Lady on Etsy. It's a basic hat but it can be dressed up with feathers or flowers, depending on the outfit. With my never-ending fascination with the 40's I had to get the perfect pair of rounded sunglasses, and I stumbled upon Pin Up In A Pack. They carry these specific sunnies in some fun shades, including the pale peach ones I had to snatch up.
Clothing: If you've read the latest FTIML, you'll know that Tragic Kingdom has been on the brain lately. Since I haven't shopped at Hot Topic since I was 13, I perused the band tees and saw they had the Tragic Kingdom album cover on a cropped tee. It's light and airy, perfect for this Summer weather and bit interesting to wear to the Magic Kingdom. This definitely calls for a Disney day!
Home: I think I saved the best of the haul for last. I bought a delightfully pink glass cake server from TJ Maxx that I'm using to display my brooches. Again my love of brooches knows no bounds so much so that I bought a special plate for them *insert laughing emoji face*. With Halloween being a big deal at Disneyland, and many going a bit batty for a limited edition poisoned apple stein last year, I had to see what all the fuss was about. I saw it, and deciding it was a bit too big for my taste, I passed it up. Little did I know they made a much smaller poisoned apple mug and planned to buy it as soon as possible. Apparently that was a little too late so being the impatient person I am, I bought it off the Disney store website, and I couldn't be more in love. Now I have a fun mug to make all my witchy brews, I mean PSL's this Autumn. Sorry, I just need Summer to be over already...okay not sorry at all.
And that's my haul! Make sure to check the blog for more fun posts! Till next time!
